Privacy Policy
EyeCues listens to your conversations so it can put answers on your Even G2 lens and keep what was said. That is personal, so here is exactly what we collect, why, who handles it, and how to delete it. EyeCues is made by Hibb Co. LLC, a Michigan company ("we", "us").
The short version
- We do not record or keep audio. Sound from your glasses is turned into text as it happens, and the sound itself is not saved.
- We keep the text of your conversations, plus the lists, reminders, documents and settings you create, so EyeCues can show them to you and answer from them.
- We never sell your data and we never show you ads.
- Your data is tied to your EyeCues account and only you can see it.
- You can delete any conversation, or ask us to delete your whole account and everything in it.
What we collect
Your account
- Your name and email address, confirmed with a code we email you.
- The ID of your Even account, which connects your glasses to your EyeCues account.
- If you sign in with Google, the ID Google gives us for your account and your email address.
- A record of the phones and browsers you have approved, so nobody else can use your account.
What EyeCues hears and keeps
- Transcripts of your conversations, with the time, who said each line (by voice, such as "Speaker 2", or a name you give them), a summary and topics.
- The answers EyeCues showed on your lens and where each one came from.
- Lists, tasks, notes, ideas, reminders, calendar events and suggestions, whether you said them or typed them.
What you add
- Documents you add, such as PDFs, Word files and notes. We keep their text, and a search index of it, so answers can come from them.
- Your settings, such as lens brightness, how answers close, and where calendar invites go.
Your plan and usage
- Your plan, and how many seconds of listening you use each day, so we can show your usage and keep to your plan's hours.
- If you pay, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.
Basic technical data
- Ordinary server logs, such as the time of a request and error messages, used to keep EyeCues running.
- Visits to myeyecues.com: the pages opened, how long they stayed open, the website or campaign that sent the visitor, the approximate city and country, and the type of device and browser. No cookies are used and no IP addresses are kept. A visitor is counted once a day and cannot be followed from one day to the next, or tied to your EyeCues account.
Audio
While EyeCues is listening, sound from your glasses microphones (or your phone's microphone, if the glasses' microphones are unavailable) is streamed to our speech-to-text provider and turned into text in real time. We do not save the audio, and it is not kept as a recording by EyeCues. Long silences are not sent at all. When nobody has spoken for a while, EyeCues stops streaming and saves the conversation.
How we use it
- To run EyeCues: show answers on your lens, save conversations, keep your lists and reminders, send the calendar invites you ask for, and let you see everything on your phone and at myeyecues.com.
- To answer from your own material: when a question comes up, EyeCues searches your documents and past conversations for the answer.
- To send you account email: sign-in codes, a welcome email, calendar invites you ask for, and receipts.
- To bill your plan and keep to its hours.
- To fix problems and keep EyeCues safe from abuse.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use your conversations to build advertising profiles. We do not use your conversations or documents to train AI models.
Who handles it
EyeCues relies on a few companies to do specific jobs. Each one receives only what that job needs.
- Cloudflare
- Hosts EyeCues: our servers, the database that holds your account and conversations, the search index for your documents, and the email we send.
- Soniox
- Turns the audio from your glasses into text, in real time.
- Anthropic
- Its Claude models write the answers on your lens, the summaries of your conversations, and the suggestions after a conversation. They receive the parts of your conversation, documents and lists needed to do that.
- Stripe
- Takes payment for paid plans and stores your card.
- Only if you choose to sign in with Google or connect Google Drive. If you connect Drive, EyeCues copies your conversations into an EyeCues folder in your Drive.
- Even Realities
- EyeCues runs inside the Even app on your phone and tells us your Even account ID. Even Realities' own privacy policy covers the Even app and your glasses.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy would still apply to your data.
Your data stays yours
Everything EyeCues keeps is tied to your EyeCues account. Each request is checked against that account, so one person's conversations, lists and documents never appear in someone else's. Only phones and browsers you have approved can open your account.
Your choices
- See, edit and download your conversations at any time, on your phone or at myeyecues.com.
- Turn Google Drive sync on or off.
- Connect an AI app, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to your account. It can only reach your EyeCues after you sign in and press Allow, it gets only what you allowed (read only, or read and add), and it can never delete anything. What that app does with your data is covered by its own privacy policy. Disconnect it any time on your Account page.
- Choose whether calendar invites go out on their own or only when you tap Add to calendar.
- Choose whether EyeCues answers questions from everyone or only from you.
- Stop listening any time by closing EyeCues or taking off your glasses.
Deleting your data
When you delete a conversation, it disappears from your phone and myeyecues.com and EyeCues stops using it for answers. To delete your whole account and everything in it permanently, sign in at myeyecues.com, open Account, and choose Delete my account. We email you a code to confirm it is you, then everything is removed right away and any paid plan is cancelled. You can also email info@hibbcollc.com from the address on your account, and we will do it within 30 days. Copies you made yourself, such as downloads or files in your Google Drive, are yours to keep or delete.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to see a copy of your data, correct it, or object to how it is used. Email us and we will help.
Security
Data moves between your glasses, your phone and our servers over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses one-time codes or Google, so there is no EyeCues password to steal. New phones have to be approved from your account. No system is perfectly secure, and if something goes wrong that affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
EyeCues is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child has an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in EyeCues before it takes effect.
